If, like me, you own a tablet device you’ll probably find it’s taking over more and more of your life. Just this week alone I’ve used my iPad to type some of my book, draw a picture, edit a photo, list some things on eBay, catch up on TV, find a meeting location, listen to a podcast, choose a recipe for dinner, read the news, connect on social media ….. you get the picture! It’s definitely become my “can’t do without” gadget.

Something I’ve only recently started doing is reading magazines on my iPad. My app of choice is Zinio, which is a free app available for iOS, Android and computer. It’s home to thousands of magazines from around the world, including top UK titles like Elle, Cosmo, Top Gear, F1 and Newsweek.  You can buy magazines individually or buy a subscription, normally 6, 12 or 15 issues.

The beauty of digital magazines is that they can include interactive material – instead of reading an interview you can hear it; instead of a review of a film you can see trailers and clips – and web links take you straight to the website.

Anyway, Zinio are currently running a sweepstake and everyone entering will receive a$5 voucher which can be used to buy any magazine in the Zinio shop, or to put towards a subscription. (And if you’re in the USA or Canada you also have the chance to win an iPad Mini!) The sweepstake ends on 1st December 2012.
