Accountability, support, information and time to help you plan, write, publish and promote your first non-fiction book.

- Next Programme Coming Soon

You know that book you've always wanted to write...?

In just 12 weeks I can get that book out of your head and into reality.

What would that mean for you?

Around 80% of us want to write a book – but fewer than 1% actually succeed. Joining this programme will help you become one of the 1%!

The 12-week Group Writing Programme has been designed for coaches, consultants, business owners and first-time authors who want to write a non-fiction book.

Over the course of three months you will learn everything you need to know to plan, write, publish and promote your first non-fiction book, whether that’s a memoir, travel guide, business manual or self-help guide.

You’ll also have dedicated writing time, weekly group mentoring sessions, an accountability buddy and unlimited feedback and support on your book writing project.

At the end of the three months you’ll be well on the way to completing your manuscript, and you’ll understand the next steps towards becoming a published author.

About Alison Thompson

I have been helping people to write and self-publish books for over ten years, through offering coaching and mentoring, editing and proofreading, and book formatting. I am also an author in my own right, with two non-fiction books (and a dodgy erotic novella!) to my name, so I have experienced the highs and lows of writing for myself!

I am passionate about helping people to share their knowledge, experience and unique stories through the medium of books, and I’m really excited to be launching this programme so I can help even more people.

My Teaching Process

A friendly, supportive and informative approach to give you all the tools you need

1. Ongoing Support

I will be here throughout the programme to offer support and inspiration. Q&A sessions each week, email feedback on your project plus 121s during the write-in sessions.

2. Work Together as a Group

Working in a small group gives you the chance to bounce ideas off other writers. Become part of a supportive community and perhaps even make new friends!

3. Workbook and PDFs

Printable PDF workbook so you can keep all your planning and notes together, plus recordings of every Zoom session and a copy of my book as reference material.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will I actually write a book during the programme?

The aim of the programme is to get you started with writing your book by providing you with the tools and support you need to plan it and begin writing. Everyone writes at a different pace, so some people may complete their book during the three months, while others may still be writing.

2. Does the programme include any after-services like editing?

No – the programme includes everything listed above but does NOT include any additional services such as proofreading, editing, formatting or marketing. I will outline the services I offer authors, but there is no obligation to work with me beyond the programme and I will also suggest alternative service providers.

3. When does the programme begin?

Please join the waiting list on the link below to be notified of future programme dates.

4. How much does the programme cost?

The programme costs just £750 if you pay upfront, or pay over 3 or 6 months for a small additional fee.

Every aspect of writing a book is covered, from developing an early germ of an idea or a whole headful of information, producing a draft, editing and revising, through to the mechanics of publication and promotion of the finished work. If you've ever thought about sharing your story, Alison will certainly inspire and guide you through the whole process.

Is becoming a published author easy? No. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. But with Alison Thompson by your side, it will be a whole lot easier than you might at first imagine.
